Design has long served the “user.” But in a warming, dying, interconnected world, that model collapses. Posthuman design challenges the myth that humans are the center of all meaning and agency. Instead, it calls on us to design with other species, materials, systems, and ecosystems.

It invites questions – What does this system do to soil?
What does this algorithm forget?
Who – other than humans – co-creates this experience?

The term more-than-human reminds us that we are never alone in shaping worlds – bacteria, fungi, rivers, cats, wind, and code all play a part.
The goal isn’t to remove humans.
The goal is to remember we were never alone.
